Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a mine train roller coaster located at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Park in Paris. In Tokyo and Paris, the attraction is named Big Thunder Mountain. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is also the name of the fictional rail line the roller coaster depicts.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was designed by Imagineer Tony Baxter and ride design engineer Bill Watkins. The concept came from Baxter’s work on fellow Imagineer Marc Davis’s concept for the Western River Expedition, a western-themed pavilion at the Magic Kingdom, designed to look like an enormous plateau and contain many rides, including a runaway mine train roller coaster. What you get
This model is game ready, VR ready, and looks great in renders! The rig is designed to work in Untiy and VR chat, but will work in most 3D software. The cape is rigged with a series of bones to make Dynamic Bone simulation possible, but you can overide that in your software of choice real time cloth sims. The lightsaber blade is rigged to be fully controlable through animation or scripting.
Incudes the Darth Vader model, Darth Vader lightsaber hilt and blade models, full texture sets in up to 4k resolution, custom made punchcard texture for the animated lights, custom unity shaders (Built in render pipline, shaderforge editable). Inspired by Adam Savage’s Tested video on making lukes saber hilt, I started working on a lightsaber animation. With today being the day it is, it seemed fiting to release the key prop :D
Mostly built and animated (check youtube soon-ish) while waiting for remote Mandolorian watch-parties to start.
The dimmensions and details are accurate to most of the real props used. They used a lot of very different props, from painted rubber tubes to complex close up models, so I took the best references for the details I could get for each detail. The animation is set mid-battle and post-ROTJ so it has a bit more wear and damage.
