My final entry for the ‘Lights, Camera, Immersion!’ community contest.
Not sure if this is animated or static, I was trying to go for a “looping Idle” sort of motion so you can really soak in the feeling of screaming across the desert in a podracer, rather than a specific segment of the story.
One major focus was getting this optimized to work on mobile VR, and I think I’ve done that reasonably well. As with my other star wars ships, this model was also modelled and textured in Blender and Microsoft Paint. JSPlacement was also used when creating the hull plating texture.
Edit; I was told that there were apparently 2 variants of this star destroyer; the imperial-I class, and the imperial-II class. I was also told that the one I have here resembles the imperial-II variant, but since I don’t know the differences between variants, I don’t really know.
