Meet the captain, the first in a series of nautical themed characters. He is a low to mid poly character created for easy use in your project. The model is created with a pbr pipeline and includes textures to be used with popular realtime engines. He uses a standardised human rig to allow animation mapping from many sources such as mocap data from mixamo. The skeleton does contain some extra joints for bespoke animation/dynamic joints a simple face rig and some fun blendshapes. The download contains. -2 fbx files of the skinned character, one without blendshapes and one with. -a maya lt file with the skinned meshes and blendshapes. -Separate objs of the blendshapes -3 sets of high res textures. This work was my contribution to retrogasm 2019, well is not on time as you can see but at least is finished, the idea was to recreate a videogame character , I picked captain commando from the 90’s great arcade machine.
The high res model was done in Zbrush, retopo in 3dcoat, texture process in Substance Painter, rigged inside Maya with Advanced Skeleton and finally rendered inside marmoset and for the high res model keyshot (overwatch tribute), some final retouch inside Photoshop.
