A ship from the ’90s Expanded Universe, the I7 Howlrunner was a small starfighter developed by Incom Corporation (the same manufacturers as the X-wing) for the Empire. Probably best-known from the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, I stayed pretty faithful to the design, but made a couple of angles slightly more exciting and a little less boxy.
Out-of-universe, the ship’s design is probably an homage to the Buck Rogers Thunderfighter, concepted by Ralph McQuarrie, who also worked on Star Wars’ fighters. I wanted to make sure my version felt Star Wars-y enough, so I textured it in an extremely similar to the style of the OT X-wings. I hope you enjoy this slightly obscure ship model! Powstanie Warszawskie rozpoczęło się 1 sierpnia 1944 roku w Warszawie i było największym zrywem niepodległościowym podczas II wojny światowej. Było częścią większej operacji militarnej Armii Krajowej o kryptonimie „Burza”. Wybuch powstania oficjalnie zaplanowano na godzinę 17:00, którą określono, jako godzinę „W”. Powstanie trwało aż 63 dni, kończąc się 2 października 1944 roku. Powstańcy broń i amunicję zdobywali na przeciwniku, a braki uzupełniali bronią z konspiracyjnych zakładów – produkowano miotacze ognia, butelki zapalające, pistolety maszynowe „Błyskawica” oraz granaty („sidolówki” i „filipinki”).
Powstańcy nie mieli też jednolitych mundurów. Walczyli w ubraniach cywilnych lub
zdobycznych mundurach niemieckich. Po tygodniach heroicznej walki zginęło od 16 tys. do
18 ty żołnierzy AK i do 180 tys. cywilów (ok. 60 tyś. zamordowanych podczas tzw. rzezi Woli
