A sci-fi holographic computer I made that is loosely based off the IBM 5100. Originally created for Second Life, shown here in Metalness PBR. Textured in Quixel Suite and Photoshop, modeled in Blender with the HardOps plugin.
The hologram is static for now, it normally has an animation (in other engines) but I am still trying to figure out a good way to have both a smooth interpolated rotation of the rings on the bottom and a hard transition of frames on the main screen (only way I can currently think of is to use the frame-by-frame method here but that would require way too much mesh data for smooth rotation). The model is a simplyfied version of the original machine.
Its one of the worlds most sold machines for road construction. The machine drives a certain distance while its laying down a fresh layer of asphalt behind it.
The chain tracks are also animated and move like in real life. The model also has a pile of ashpalt on the front, which is decreasing over time.
