This is my attempt at modelling World of Warcraft’s Sulfuron Keep from the Firelands raid.
This model was created for a college project so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
And just as a side note: I am aware that the underside of the model and the fact that the platform is poking out from the lava does look rather unusual, however the main reason for this is because I wasn’t originally planning to upload this scene as a physical model that could be viewed from any perspective, instead, once the model was completed, I intended to take a single, static render of the scene as if it were looking through the eyes of a player, and uploading that image to my Artstation account, meaning that I wasn’t really focussing on any of the areas of the model that wouldn’t be seen within the final render. Model based on the amazing Derek Laufman , Love his style and thought this would be a good character to modeling.
Had a lot of fun with this model and learn a lot, tried to improve a bit more my hand painted skills with him doing some metal and wood tests.
The model was made in zbrush , retopo and UV’s in Maya and Textures with Substance Painter.
