The original model from the game! This was the first dragon ever made for Skyrim, and it took me three months to make (what with all the back-and-forth with programming, art and design). All the variants - the Blood Dragons, the Ancient Dragons, etc - came later, and were all texture variants of this one, with low-poly mesh changes to the mesh. As with all things art, there are elements of this guy I wish I could change, but ultimately I love this dude and I'm proud of him. A 3D model of an eighteenth-century bronze sculpture created by Pius Weloński (1849–1931).
This figurative, whole-body sculpture depicts a Roman gladiator with an upraised arm. The pedestal bears the following inscription: Ave Caesar! Morituri, salutant [Long live Caesar! Those who are going to die greet you]. The gladiator is – judging by his props – most likely a retiarius [net-fighter]. He fought with a trident or harpoon made of tuna bones, a dagger, and a net that he threw at his opponent’s head.
