This model was made for a university project. The goal was to bake a high poly onto a normal map with the low poly under 30,000 plygons. form the MechWarrior BattleTech Universe. I made the low and hogh poly models in Maya, then added detail to the high poly in Zbrush before baking that onto a normal map in Substance Painter.

I wanted to remake Katarina’s base ASU model after Minagami’s concept) while also combining some official depictions of her accross media. The design choices are approximately an average with some of my own preferences since there are a few inconsistencies. After Ahri’s ASU, I feel like Katarina, being one of Leagues popular poster champions and older than Ahri deserves an update to follow up and really bring to life the lore in her comic and modernize her visuals! This is an on-going project with more modernizations of her skins to come. Stay tuned!

Special privilige is given to a small group of “latent criminals” allowing them to fire the weapon for the greater good even though their Sybil readout would normally prevent them from fireing the Dominator. This is a check and ballance to prevent decision makers from being consumed by negative thought. Allowing those on the verge of reprogramming a second chance to work for the system.
