Tried out a new workflow with this piece, which is starting off with a base mesh in Zbrush, sculpt all details, bake the Diffuse and AO in Substance Painter, add Color Gradients to the Diffuse and use that as a base for my Handpainted texture! I learned a lot in the process in regards to zBrush and polishing my Handpainted skills when its about metal and cloth. But I also realised that I end up changing things up a lot in the final stage, which means I still rely a lot on my handpainting! Just plug the textures on emission, or diffuse shader. No need for ambient occlusion. And voilà! They are ready!
They have an even more natural painting feeling than before, and they are close to real anime trees more than ever 😁😁
