In this project I wanted to make a creature and mount that could exist in the universe of World of Warcraft. I wanted to be as accurate to in game models and aimed have it share the same poly count as well as texture resolution as models in game. I was inspired to make this based on Ashleigh Warner’s creation of the pet, “Daisy the Sloth”. After creating the sculpt and low res, I tried to use the colors of the reference, and wasn’t happy with how it looked. I instead used photos of Blizzard’s recent showcase of Kul Tiras in World of Warcraft as a color theme.
