Development of the MG 30 took place under the direction of Louis Stange at Rheinmetall’s Sömmerda office. Wanted to do something light hearted, wanted to mess around with texture painting, and I wanted to play with hard-surface modelling some more. I collect lego a little bit, and this was one of my more recent additions, so I thought I might as well try to recreate it. I’m really pleased with the results overall. Modelling the hair was the most difficult part, and I think that’s where the model is most lacking. Otherwise I think it turned out alright.
