This dragon shaped Katana was forged with fire and blood more than half a century ago and, like their owners, it has been evolving through its years undergoing technological modifications. This katana was owned by Tetsuo's father nicknamed “Asakura's Dragon" who led the Asakura Ghosts clan for many years. It can launch a powerful blast of fire at his opponents. It can also deflect bullets and create a magnetic field that drives away nearby opponents and provides cover. It has leather grips and their edges are made of a Japanese gold and steel alloy with an unknown material. I’ve been working on props for a fantasy Japanese type game environment and this oni mask and katana is a part of it.
The project is called ‘Oni’s rest’ , I’ll upload the mini environment when I make it game ready(absolute torture). I learnt a lot so quality will be improving slowly but surely.
there’s some engravings on the katana, which are emissive.
the one on the butt cap(I searched up katana part names, dont @ me) translates to “end”,
and the one on the hand guard reads “kishi kaisei” which translates to “wake from death and return to life”.

This model was created in 3ds max and retopologised with a turbosmooth modifier and the uvs was created in 3ds max and then the high poly detail was baked onto the model with substance painter.
