This was done over the course of 9 weeks during the CGMA course: Stylized Character Arts for Games with instructor Weston Reid! The character blockout and sculpt were done in ZBrush, retopology in Blender and CozyBlanket, baking in Marmoset Toolbag 4, texturing in Substance Painter and 3DCoat, and finally rigged and animated back in Blender! The class was challenging, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot! I’m super excited to apply what I’ve learned in future pieces! Terry Pratchett got me through a lot of last year. I swallowed a good chunk of the Discworld series, starting with Tiffany. Since then I’ve carried in my own mind an image of granny’s shepherd hut as it existed in Tiffany’s head, and the hat, and witch herself. This personal work / fanart took a few months, on and off, to realize.
