This is a simple low-poly model of the interior of a library, which I made during my time studying 3D animation at UW-Whitewater. This set was originally supposed to be used in an edutainment game of sorts made with Unity, which would explain both the arrow and the low polygon count and the simple textures (we didn’t know how big this was going to be, so we started small). We were thinking of a MYST-like first person adventure game where the player would explore a library alone to search for clues and solve puzzles. This character is from a card deck-building turn-based Rpg game called “Library of Ruina” that I was playing
This model is very different than what I usually do, Because it’s a male character, has proper body proportion, and It also has kind of a water/paint texture style unlike cel shading I usually do, So it’s quite difficult to try making the 3D model accurate.
The result? Well, not as good as I had hoped,
For some reason, I just can’t make his face looks correct no matter how hard I am tired. I’m unfamiliar with this body type so I’m probably unable to plan properly.

The book is quit old and contains a Chinese general’s war tactices. Although one could still learn something about war from reading it, it is more and more appreciated as a management book. That is because of the strategic thinking and high level tacitcs that he explains and that could be used in a management context as well. Worth a read? You can get it for free and it’s a very classical book so yes.
The object itself didn’t take me too long but the texturing…never again do I ad 16 “pages” with a texture on each front and back....But I commited to it so each of the pages has it’s unique text that comes from the book. For the chinese characters, I googled some chinese words for “peace” “war” “victory” etc and put them there. I was already told by a way more fluent Mandarin speaking person that those are not appropriate for the time of Sun Tzu so sorry for that but I hope they do their job.
