Terry Pratchett got me through a lot of last year. I swallowed a good chunk of the Discworld series, starting with Tiffany. Since then I’ve carried in my own mind an image of granny’s shepherd hut as it existed in Tiffany’s head, and the hat, and witch herself. This personal work / fanart took a few months, on and off, to realize.

Here there are some texturing steps for the buildings in our project “Wall Town”.
I used 3d-Coat.
Step 1: I made normals for some panels and baked the occlusion
Step 2: Base colors. I made a color palette and I picked my colors from there. I also added some bolts on the metal plates.
Step 3: I added some smart materials, dirt and a gradient from the bottom.
Step 4: I hand painted all the rust effects, and other little dirt effects.

This little bird nursery was a project to further push my understanding and skills of the handpainted game art pipeline, from concept to having a finished model. In this case, I also wanted to explore how to blend different terrain textures into each other, and how to generate grass with a particle system instead of placing them all by hand like in my previous props. I’m happy it worked the way it did!
In order to get this on Sketchfab I even got some additional practice: Baking said ground textures onto the ground plane, and converting my grass particles into actual geometry. Merging those then ended up making my file twice the size - but “compressing” it brought it down again. Lots of mini-roadblocks, but here it is!

I took major inspiration from Kiriko(Overwatch) for this mask. A lot of parts on this mask are emissive, tried to make it look as cyberpunk as I could. the pink areas all have a carbon fibre texture because why not.
The Japanese characters on the mask is actually from Kirikos ultimate voice line “Unleash the kitsune’s claws”.
The ones on the kunai, I had no idea what to write but I found something that said “The weak are meat;The strong eat” it was kinda funny in a cool way so I used it.
