Hi everyone!
This is my first successfull attempt to sculpt something stylized and transfer to a normal map :) It was very interesting to try something new and mix it with oldfashioned handpainted textures
However, I am very happy with the result and I hope you’ll like it too!

This is a new technique compared to my previous anime tree versions
Just plug the textures on emission, or diffuse shader. No need for ambient occlusion. And voilà! They are ready!
They have an even more natural painting feeling than before, and they are close to real anime trees more than ever 😁😁

The model is fully created in blender 2.8 beta, the textures were handpainted in blender too and corrected & mirroed in paint.net and the foliage in medibang.
The idea behind this scene is to create a more expressive character and living scenario.

Process: 1 layer, 1 brush (mostly) and a lot of colour picking. This project really helped to teach me how to loosen up when painting
as well as how to choose good colours. I tried to stay as close as possible to the original concept, but I did deviate when
I found interesting shapes during the painting process and wanted to keep them. No AO bake or base, just started
really messy to capture all the hue variations and then slowly sculpted in the shapes :)
