In this study I tried to make an armor based on the character Kael from Wow, it was my first more complex model in handpainted painting, I really liked the process, and I hope you like the result. Kael'thas “Kael" Sunstrider was the Prince of Quel'Thalas, the last of the House of Sunstrider, as well as a senior member of the Kirin Tor. After the fall of Quel'Thalas, Kael'thas led what remained of his people, the sin'dorei, in the service of the Alliance. Hello all! My name’s Fletcher. I’m a new character artist on the team. Here’s one of the polished armor sets I just finished. This is the final model and textures that will be used in-game. I’m using Sketchfab web-based 3D viewer to preview my models and the team is considering using this method to display progress for various assets in the future. Having the ability to have an interactive viewer that allows you to pan and rotate a model in real time is a very helpful and immersive way to show our work.
Sketchfab’s presentation renderer is different than our game renderer, so assets may appear differently in game right now; but our goal is to match in game visuals as closely to this as possible.
