Iconic Jordan shoe in collaboration with popular sneaker boutique, Union LA. This Off Noir Ice pair released back in 2020 This model is a 1:1 replication of the original. All dimensions, angles, and curves are the same as the real life counterpart. The shoe is subdivision ready with a base polycount of 65,671 polys per shoe. The mesh uses four texture sets, all at 4096x4096 resolution, with the following maps in use: Base Color, Metallic, Roughness, Normal. The base color map contains the transparency information. There is an optimized, One Mesh version which has a lower polycount, 33,440 polys per shoe. This was achieved by removing small stitches and smoothing out the sole of the shoe. Two images with turqoise backgrounds show what this looks like. The main Blender files contain the full texture setup. in the last episode of the podcast Tip of the Tongue (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsnxeSJF1qI) the audible shoes were invented. They are shoes with built in speakers and would play you an audiobook while walking in them.
So naturally during the last 5 days I made these things while repeatedly telling myself that “I gotta buy those audible shoes” and laughing like an idiot.
I quite like how they turned out. What do you think?
