Frequently they are heated and tossed in enough butter so they do not stick and no more. Once lightly browned the flavors unlock, and once they are a bit dried from being cooked they soak in juices like a sponge. One wonders why it took us so long to rediscover these as a useful part of our diet. Perhaps it takes the internet for us to share about the cool things that are accessible in our wide world.

Many people are familiar with the art installationin in the Helix Park, adjacent to the Falkirk Wheel - the large Kelpies - at 30 metres high, they are the world’s largest equine sculptures, created by Andy Scott in 2013.
What is less well known is that a mini version of these iconic sculptures, the pre production “maquettes”, some 10 feet high are currently in residence in Ardrishaig at the western end of the Crinnan Canal at the Ardrishaig waterway’s centre. They have been sited there at since 2019 having cantered down from their earlier site in Edinburgh.
