I knew I wanted to try a modeling a weapon while still exploring a stylized texturing technique. I hope I did Moniek's design justice! There are multiple things I'm pleased with on this project and multiple things I hope to resolve better in the future. One thing I'm particularly proud of is the damaged portion of the flat part of the blade, which I actually “painted" the normals for in Substance Painter! My dear friend Weston (https://www.artstation.com/westontjones) suggested I try that when I realized I forgot to sculpt the damage in Zbrush. Something I hope to learn from is the lighting issue on the handle, which is related to how I UV'd this piece. Overall, I am pleased with my growth in the past two projects! Game-Ready Stylized Tower
In this model, I wanted to make a game-ready asset with as low-poly as possible, and I was able to make the whole scene under 11,500 triangles while doing this, I took care to stay as the concept as possible.
I used two textures in the model. one for the Tower itself and the other for the bushes and grasses.
The model was made in Maya and the sculpt was made in Blender, the textures were done in Substance Painter and Photoshop. Rendered in Blender and composited in DaVinci Resolve.

Ineveitably a sturdy exo shell and venomous pincers wont be enough to harmlessly survive the mercilous enviroment and everythinng else “dwelling’ throughout, but for every threat on the other side of survival comes another tool towards it. Be it serrated claws and sturdy bones or resourceful pelts, skin and scaled hydes. Covering fleshwound after scar after fleshwound after laceration after evisceration and scars. Holy moly did it feel like an eternity since I started on this guy, but atlast here it is. Made a few provisional demo animations. Hope you like what you see and to hear what you think.
