As a part of tech art challenge, I decided to try out a Midjourney -> 3D workflow. The concept was created in mid journey, then I sculpted the model, created the enviroment and projected the textures on the sea monster. The rest was some hand painting the textures to fix stuff here and there 3D Model is ready to download for free

Tried out a new workflow with this piece, which is starting off with a base mesh in Zbrush, sculpt all details, bake the Diffuse and AO in Substance Painter, add Color Gradients to the Diffuse and use that as a base for my Handpainted texture! I learned a lot in the process in regards to zBrush and polishing my Handpainted skills when its about metal and cloth. But I also realised that I end up changing things up a lot in the final stage, which means I still rely a lot on my handpainting! I made this character concept that representing an executioner, a jailer (from the knight faction) that has a gameplay based on harassment and isolation. Indeed, thanks to the “man-catcher” part of his weapon, he can catch his enemy and bring him where he wants for a short time (like the jokey from Left4dead). Of course he is also deadly with the other part of his weapon wich is a “vouge” that can cut very easily.
