Not sure if this is animated or static, I was trying to go for a “looping Idle” sort of motion so you can really soak in the feeling of screaming across the desert in a podracer, rather than a specific segment of the story.
One major focus was getting this optimized to work on mobile VR, and I think I’ve done that reasonably well. This was a VRChat compatible avatar commissioned by a Private Client.
Based on the Tripod from the 2000s War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise. The rigging was quite tricky as I had to hide a humanoid skeleton inside the body to get the arms to work properly. Quite pleased with the results. The legs have a custom animation as well to give proper locomotion.
