The altar itself is covered with an embroidered tablecloth with a Victorian pattern decorated with lace on the sides. On the front of the altar you will find the golden text “VERBUM DEI MANER IN AETERNUM", which means “the word remains forever". The altar is positioned on a small podium with one step. I modelled one of the rose windows at Truro Cathedral as part of one of my third year projects. It eventually led to a cast paper installation where I used a modified version of this model to rout a model out in insulating foam, then take a mould in plaster and finally cast in paper pulp.
