A 14th century farmer using a heavy plough pulled by oxen. I was approached by BuildersBrew to create a small diorama of a Medieval Farmer ploughing the fields, this was based off of some references provided and is to be used within the immersive mobile app for The Chester House Estate. Conservation with the overall tricount, texture space and alpha usage in the project was important to make sure the model could load well in the application, the texture for the character was 4k for this render however this was reduced to 2k in the application and the overall tricount came in at around 70k for the whole project. Hello everyone, I made this model of a cute Unicorn Claw Machine following a design by the artist Julie Perez for the medieval back-and-forth challenge on Artstation.
The polycount for the full model and the 4 little wooden horse is 47972. I don’t know how you’d manage to spawn so many little unicorn wooden toys in a game, so the full polycount is way higher on my take. I bet you could just use particles or an equivalent to avoid the extra triangles.
I also did that demonstration animation, to show how eveything could work but of course in a game that’d be done with programming not actual bones, haha.
