I wanted to make something more conventional and different from my past projects, so I decided to model a gasmask. Which then expanded to modelling a reinforced helmet and then finally active hearing protection. I also wanted to do skin weights and import assets into a game, since its fun to see models “alive”, so I added these to my XCOM 2 mod.

This was a project I’ve been working on for the past few months with Isabel Garcia, otherwise known as Osidinum.
We brainstormed back and forth for a few months and she came up with an awesome design for me to translate into 3D!

This was a very fun piece to make for Revival, I enjoyed designing and thinking about all the details and symbolism in it while also balancing having a sense of the sterotypical reaper imagery while also being distinctly unique from it. There is some information about it in the annotations I encourage you to explore if you’d like.
This was made for use in UE4 and as such the textures I have here are not the complete version since I planned to do some things in engine. This is actually a remake of a model that was featured in one of the levels I created for No More Room in Hell, quirky details preserved. At the time I was not able to actually create 3d models properly and found a way to circumvent it by using Propper - an addon that allows one to create a Source Engine model using only the Hammer Editor.
