“When in doubt…blow it up!" I am very excited to share this treasure chest I made for Jordan Power's Brushforge mentorship. I created this chest over the past 8 weeks, from concept to model to textures. My goals for this project were to improve upon my concept/design skills, continue to push my texture painting and work in some animation. Inspired by World of Warcraft's Goblins and their janky, needlessly dangerous gadgets. 9 weeks in total to get this girl working. From sculpting to rigging, animation and character controllers, this goblin has been a heck of a challenge. I’m happy to be out of the other side with a lot more useful skills under my belt.
I made this character for my uni assesment after an artwork by Sam Frisk on Twitter.
I followed a high to low workflow, maxed roughness PBR texture, and even made a simple custom rig.
