I have been designing 3D Mechs for a while but I realized that my mechs need warm home that they can rest, repair, reload themselves :) so I decided to build this mech Hangar. This time it is octogonal and has even more space. It has 3 mech repair booths and 4 modification stands. Over the course of the summer I made quite some 3D hand painted props for Ashleigh Warner’s CGMA course: Creating Stylized Game Assets.
This is the assignment for the first week, we had to create three cubes with all of them having an unique theme. The focus in this assignment was on creating a texture with two unique sides, focusing on painting.

Second university project, to create a floating island diorama
Went for all assets having relatively low pollys to have a fuller, busy impression.
My aim is to create a story by portraying a witch’s island of books, with her oragami birds and fish, aswell as her dragon Familiar. I tried to make most of the pages unique and included references to the dragon on a few of the books.
Not too sure about the colouring, was intending to have far more pinks and turquoises to aid a magical feel but ended up rather brown.
Willow trees are my favourite so went for a magical pink fantasy one.
Struggled a lot with the composition of the island and in hind sight would like to move everything around, but overall semi-happy.
First time using bump and emmision maps,
