A low poly Skipray Blastboat, from the Star Wars expanded universe / Legends. This older imperial ship featured a rotating wing, and in the post-OT era more often than not appeared with in rusty brown tones, often operated by bounty hunters or pirates, so I’ve included 2 different colorschemes with this one, aas well as a cockpit interior.
I followed the top view proportions and scale of the original design, but I was curious to try a more streamlined look, with the front wings better integrated into the fuselage. I made a few other changes and also swapped on a turret inspired by the imperial troop transport as seen in The Mandalorian. The old official model was called a GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat, you could think of this as a slightly more lightly armed GAT-10 design, better at atmospheric flight. Still instantly recognizable by any EU fan! This model is probably about 85% accurate, although I’ve gone for a more standard imperial gray to match the Lambda shuttle, rather than the black and orange we first saw in Rogue One. Fits in really well with the rest of the Empire’s fleet.
The wings and laser cannon turrets are all separate objects with the correct pivot points to rotate into flight mode. A few areas are very slightly simplified to keep the polycount low, and everything uses the same 2048x2048 textures. It also has a rough cockpit interior just with some glowing lights to add a bit of depth, but if you want to save performance you can delete it and make the windows opaque. Enjoy! A low poly model of the stormtrooper blaster, mostly based on A New Hope rather than Battlefront’s RotJ version, textured in Substance Painter. Not detailed enough for a 1st person view, but great for full body distance! I’d price it lower but sketchfab’s minimum is $3.99- I’ll bundle it into my upcoming stormtrooper if you want both.
The RotJ version’s biggest difference is the different barrel grip design and no techy pieces attached to the left side. ANH also has a lot of variation, partly because those techy pieces fell off some of the props, partly because they just used mismatched parts in general.
Aside from being slightly simplified (eg. I have a smooth wire instead of 2 curly wires to save on polycount, there is no trigger to avoid clipping—although many screen-used ones in ANH also have no trigger!), I also made a conscious change to add back in the one missing grip from the left side of the barrel in ANH where there was a bayonet attachment and a row of holes instead.
