I’ve been working on this project since mid January now and it’s finally finished! Everything is modelled in Blender and the textures are painted in Photoshop. Diffuse and Alpha maps only.
I thought I would create a scene with a small story behind it.
The mysterious tiny wizard was experimenting with his rare mandrake Root and home grown crystals. He found an old recepice on how to create a special magic potion with the ancient root. By trying it out, he mixes the wrong ingredients together, which turns out to be a magic spell for opening portals. This is my most recent personal project to practice handpainted textures.
Creating this fan art from the show Arcane has been an amazing journey that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.
I really like the distinct style of the show and it was super fun trying to recreate it.
The process of making this piece has been very rewarding, and the challenges encountered along the way have only helped me to grow as an artist.
