Ballerina character made for a Creature Creation/Advanced Modeling class. The original concept was based on Orianna from League of Legends and some Swan Lake/Ballerina themed fanarts of said character.
This character was a lot of fun to make and also very challenging. Sculpting and anatomy are not my strong suit which is why when forced to make a creature/character, I chose a more robotic, hard surface type of character. I wanted to do a chibi model of Asuka after working on the Mass Produced Evangelion character (also visible on my page!), and in the end I think she came out really cute! I like modeling cute things truthfully as well as figurative characters, so this project was definitely a lot of fun. It was once again a big learning experience though, as I really tried to work on things like facial topology, that anime-feeling style, and being painterly with my textures. I still have a long way to go of course, but this felt like a big milestone that I’m happy to have done!
