The Type VII D U-boat was a vessel designed and built for the German navy during World War 2, and were constructed in the Friedrich Krupp Germaniawerft in Kiel.There purpose was to lay mines and hunt convoys with some of them seeing minor victories during the battle of atlantic. Only half a dozen were ordered and all but U-218 were sunk during the war. A commission for a friend for a submarine. Tried to make a somewhat unique-looking submarine in my own style, with a bit of futuristic flair. It’s much larger than your typical submarine, measuring in at a length of almost 305 meters, making it almost double the length of the world’s largest submarine.
Did not research how submarines work or function at all, but at least tried to make it look submersible! No windows, turbines, fins, etc.
