With this being my second finished 3D model, I feel incredibly motivated to continue my journey of getting deeper into 3D modelling. This Pounamu Toki (nephrite jade or greenstone adze) from the South Island of New Zealand was donated to Stromness Museum in the late 19th or early 20th century by an Orcadian living in Twatt, West Mainland. It is a mystery how this artefact came to be in Orkney, but in the 19th century Orcadians were great seafarers and many travelled to the South Seas on whaling ships.
The grooves along the side of this adze provide an insight into how this extremely hard material was cut and shaped. A great deal of time was expended on the surface finish and a mirror polish has been achieved over most of the surface.

This is it my first game character I make in 3D, and I finally finshed :D
After months studying with the course Anatomy of Rafael Souza (And another ones along the way, like game hair, render on marmoset, etc), I have finally finished this piece, where I made it everything from the scratch, trying to capture the concepts from Prince Of Persia Warrior Within (One of my favorites games, hope Ubisoft make another game). This was the hardest piece I’ve ever worked on, where many time I haved to redone some parts to get it right, but it was very fun to learn all the techniques (in sculpting and real-time) necessary to make it.
