Made this piece based on concept art called 部落 Mönkhtsetseg by Crispy Mushrooms! This was done over the course of 9 weeks during the CGMA course: Stylized Character Arts for Games with instructor Weston Reid! The character blockout and sculpt were done in ZBrush, retopology in Blender and CozyBlanket, baking in Marmoset Toolbag 4, texturing in Substance Painter and 3DCoat, and finally rigged and animated back in Blender! The class was challenging, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot! I’m super excited to apply what I’ve learned in future pieces! Happy Valentine’s Day 2016!
I remember when i watched Tangled, The scene that left the deepest impression on me was this scene, the floating lights, the reflection in contrast to the dark of the night and the calm of the lake, it took my breath away and i didn’t even notice they already started singing.
I guess it might be cool to recreate scenes i like in order to also study the reasons i like them :)
