This was made for the monthly character art challenge over on Polycount forums. This 3D model was based on a concept by XUEXIANG ZHANG. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/YPeY6 I had to rush a little towards the end which meant that I didn't get to finish the fur and a few other elements, but I'm happy with the overall feel of the character 3D Model is ready to download for free

Fun stylized challenge. Low poly modeling with 3ds max and textured with substance painter. The idea is an island surrouned by an atoll with magical statues that act as wards… or whatever you want to think :D.
Free to download for anyone that wants to check it out. Primarily used AO and cavity maps to help give shading and hightlights. Most of the textures are 2048x2 and I tried to stay away from any small letter or symbols to reduce any resolution issues. The Original Scan had around 22M faces/triangles and was decimated to around 4.5M before baking a normal map from it.
The Lowpoly has 20K triangles.
Texture: the texture in the preview is an 8K texture, i’ve also made a 2k and 4k texture.
