This is a 3D model of a cast of the Terme Ruler, an ancient bronze statue in the Museo Nazionale Palazzo Massimo in Rome. The cast is made of plaster and is in Statens Musueum for Kunst in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Terme Ruler depicts a man with a disproportionately muscular body, especially when compared to its more modestly shaped head. Estimations date this statue to near the 2nd century BCE, comparing it to the Terme Boxer, particularly in hair style. The sundial is designed 1924 by artist Roman Haavamäe on the Haapsalu, Estonia seaside Promenade. The face of the dial depicts the life of man – starting with a child and ending with an old man supported by a cane. It shows the local sun time, which is about 90 slower than daylight savings time.
Sundial was destroyed in 1945 but sculptor restored it 1960.
