I stumbled across an amazing concept of this bugbear by Jaemin Kim and thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to make a full character from a concept. I started by sculpting the whole body in ZBrush and then retopologized using the Zsphere tool. I then went on to unwrap him in 3ds Max, texture him in Substance Painter, finally using Maya to rig and do the simple breathing animation. To create 3D models of the rings, we used polygonal modelling functions of Blender software. In order to record the relevant measurements of the mail rings, we used a list of parameters.
