The Teke-Teke is an urban legend from Japan. She’s a girl that fell on the train tracks and was cut in half by the train. In some versions of the story she’s pushed by bullies and in others she simply falls. Either way she returns as a monster and hunts people. The only warning the victim has is the sound of her nails on the floor as she drags herself along. She will cut the legs off her victim and try to replace her own.
Normally Teke-Teke is depicted as a teenager but I made mine closer to elementary school aged. In the hypothetical game she would be placed in I felt like the change would make her creepier. She was completely sculpted in ZBrush. Her low res was made in Maya and her textures were done in Substance Painter. The main intention behind this gun was to make it look old, rugged and intimidating, combining these to give an old-school feel. The mechanism of this gun is similar to a modern minigun, the body holds the magazine on hooks which makes reloading a slow task. The style of holding the gun is tacky due to that it makes the gun a bit unstable for the user giving it a hard recoil momentum and an old-school feeling. The gun has two gauge meters one indicating the temperature and another one showing the amount of remaining bullets in the magazine. I wanted to try a colour scheme different from the basic steampunk colours (Golden/Brown), to make it look different from other weapons.
