Upper portion of a limestone statue of Thutmose III from Deir el-Bahri displayed in the Cairo Museum. The torso of the statue without the face was found in the early 20th century and now is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The face was found during excavations at Deir el-Bahri by the Polish Expedition in the 1960s and is in the Cairo Museum collections. Casts were made of each poriton of the statue and exchanged between the institutions. Today the original face and cast of the torso can be seen in Cairo and the original torso and cast of the face can be seen in New York.
Created from 113 images (Canon EOS Rebel T7i) using Metashape 1.7.5. Access to the back of the statue was difficult and repairs to the reconstructed mesh were made in Blender 2.92.

“The name Triceratops means three-horned face, referring to the one small and two large horns on the skull, which can be seen on the cast on display in the Museum.
Triceratops was 7.3 metres long, and weighed more than 6 tonnes. It was a herbivore, and its jaws were equipped with a constantly replaced battery of teeth specially adapted for cutting up tough plant material.
The horn and frill of Triceratops have attracted much speculation, but it is likely that they were used for display and fighting to maintain social dominance, and to defend territory and mates. Functional analysis suggests that Triceratops locked horns in pushing and twisting fights between individuals, the massive frill at the back of the skull acting as a shield to deflect the horns of opponents and protect the vulnerable neck and shoulder muscles.”~http://www.oum.ox.ac.uk/learning/htmls/dinosaur.htm

“The tomb of the Tradescant family is one of the most important churchyard monuments in London. The Tradescants were famous seventeenth century plants hunters and gardeners to King Charles I. They lived nearby at their home in Lambeth, where they opened their botanic garden and their cabinet of curiosities to the public as England’s first public museum. Both Tradescants travelled around the globe in search of plants to introduce into Britain’s gardens - The Elder visited Russia and the Morroccan coast, whilst the Younger travelled to Virgina in the ‘New World’.” ~ http://www.gardenmuseum.org.uk/page/the-tradescant-tomb

Hello there !
It’s been quite a while, hope you’re doing well :) .
I made this project on my spare time during 1 week for a challenge organized by Stylized Station.
Modelisation with Blender ( except the Volcano, made with ZBrush / Blender ) and texturing with Substance Painter.
You can see this planet like a secondary level you could have in Super Mario Galaxy, where there’s no monsters or goals but only signs explaining you some facts about the Earth.
I hope you will like it ! :D
Take care - Planet Earth Museum - 3D model by yuguhtrrh 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 20162 polygons.

“The amazing Venus of the Higger Paleolithic”, this is how its discoverers have described the small statuette of more than 23,000 years, sculpted in exceptionally preserved limestone and which has provided valuable testimony about the late Paleolithic society.
Discovered this summer, the Venus, presented this Wednesday, closes a beautiful series of 15 statuettes found in the prehistoric site of Renancourt, in a district southwest of Amiens, excavated since 2014. The Venus stands out for its good state of conservation and the quality of its finishes 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 9230 polygons.

Spain’s Altamira Cave is known for some of the most pristine examples of Paleolithic cave paintings, pictographs and petroglyphs. The bulls painted on the ceiling are at least 14,000 years old, and with new dating techniques, archaeologists have determined that painting first started in this chamber more than 34,000 years ago.
