My goal was to create my own concept of the design that was more compact, but also make it functional (animated) and bake it to a game ready asset/prefab, which the video does not cover (it only bakes a static higher poly mesh that is not optimized).
This was a fun project and while i hoped to complete it in roughly the same amount of time as the video shows, it took a bit longer solidifying my own design, building the low/high poly mesh, and making it functional. This took me about a week of spare time tinkering to make (the tutorial only took 90+ minutes).
Purchasing the model also includes the Substance (7.4.3) file as well as a source Maya 2020.4 model and low/high FBX versions (in case you don’t have Maya) 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 2491 polygons.

Hey Fam! It’s been a long time since I have uploaded a model! I thank each and every one who supported me and my models on this journey of mine! You guys loved my models and were happy with the purchases, which was amazing to here!

The gun was inspired from games like Overwatch, Fortnite and Call of Duty! I made this original concept, and got to work with it. It’s a pulsefire rifle, which used energy from the suit of the host to function, pretty cool right! The model represents a sunset over the Tatooine desert. Tatooine is a fictional planet that appears in the Star Wars saga. The planet is a vast desolate desert and orbits a close binary system consisting of a pair of G-type stars. At the time Tatooine was created by George Lucas, no extrasolar planets had yet been discovered. Today, we know the existence, in our galaxy, of thousands of stars with planets in orbit around them. Some of these are circumbinary planets, i.e. planets that orbit two stars instead of one … like Tatooine. An example is HD 202206, in which a Jupiter-size planet orbits a system consisting of a Sun-like star and a brown dwarf.
