Lebendmaske Ludwig van Beethoven (1812 abgenommen von Franz Klein) 1812 eröffneten die mit Beethoven befreundeten Wiener Klavierbauer Nannette und Andreas Streicher einen Klaviersalon, den sie mit Büsten berühmter Musiker schmücken wollten. Deshalb beauftragten sie den Bildhauer Franz Klein mit der Herstellung einer Beethoven-Büste. Um diese möglichst lebensnah zu gestalten, nahm Klein als Vorlage zunächst eine Lebendmaske aus Gips ab. The cluster is nearly equant (1 cm across), doubly-terminated, adamantine luster, and reddish to deep-orange in color. The prismatic faces are incredibly lustrous while the basal faces are a little less so.
Vanadinite is an important ore of vanadium (V) and a minor source of the lead (Pb). Vanadinite usually forms where lead minerals are oxidized (as secondary mineral), often in areas with an arid climate. It is commonly associated with the oxidation of galena.
