The upmost care went into crafting this model. As a result it is subdivision ready. The model was unwrapped with efficiency in mind. Both left and right shoes are mostly identical, save for logos and text that cannot be mirrored. Our basic set came with a light plastic arch which ended up to be pushed away all the time. Later I found out that ikea used to make the bridge in one solid wooden part.
I decided to design and print a similar base that would click under the curved rail. It has raised rails on the top on which the wooden trails sit. Edges are curved by 1 mm. You can either stick the parts together or keep them separate.
