starting out as a sketchfab mini comp, this has slowly become a bit of a project that I keep chipping away at and I think I’m finally ready to call this done :)
So presenting… my take on Hook and Smee from the childhood favourite ‘Peter Pan’ presented as a cocker spaniel and a pug, they did it for the musketeers so why not this.

This project is roughly 4 weeks in the making and is by far the most fun I’ve been with modeling a character. I modeled this in Zbrush and modeled the props and weapons in Maya. Hair was a bit of a challenge but I was inclined to keep it simple. I textured Ram Warrior in Substance Painter and posed him in Zbrush using ZSpheres. Since YuGiOh MasterDuel was released I instantly fell back in love with the cardgame I grew up with 😍 At first it was hard to catch up with the fastpaced playstyle nowadays, but its still a blast - no better way to pay Tribute than recreating the bossmonster of the deck I’m currently using ✌
The modelling was a very good practice for situations, where the references aren’t necesserily angled perfectly. This way, you definitely have to look at your model from all different angles all the time. But the project definitely deepened my love for creating Anime-Like / NPR Models iand give them my own touch.

I remember spending many childhood days back when this dropped..
(B.M. was one of my all-time favorites.) I think I was 5 when it came out and the fact that you could leave the vehicle made the game too amazing.
There’s actually 3 new entries made within the last few years. I started playin em recently but they should have upgraded the visuals. Nostalgia can be great but Sunsoft needs “to get with it” already… these old franchises just need someone smart at the helm. A whole new gold mine could be opened up if only someone would contact me for details.
