St. Minas monastery (or Kaptavank) is located in the village of Kaputan, Kotayk region of Armenia, at an altitude of 1800 m above sea level. It was erected in 1349 with purely hewn stones of blue basalt, possibly hence its other name Kapuyt Vank or Kaptavank (Blue Monastery). Durian has thick and thorny skin. It is famous and well known as the inspiration for Singapore’s Esplanade. Not only so, it is notoriously famous for its overwhelming stench. Yet to some, the smell is disgustingly nice. Durians are also analogues of treasure chests with many compartments. Inside each durian is approximately 5 different segments with each enclosing 2/3 portions of creamy yellow coloured and textured flesh wrapping around a large seed. After opening the durian, the excitement comes to know exactly how many segments (and thus how many flesh of durians you get) there are. You can just keep splitting it open to find more “treasures”.
If you happen to visit Singapore, be sure to give it a try! Even if you hate it, it’s a once in a lifetime experience. This is a very “quick’n’dirty” test I decided to finally upload as a first entry to the #AgisoftClothesChallenge . It’s not great, it’s not that bad either…
This jacket is a replica of the black paneled uniform worn by military members of the Atlantis expedition in the Sci-Fi show Stargate Atlantis, and this specific version, made of ripstop fabric, is worn by John Sheppard during seasons 2 and 3 of the show. I made it back in 2013, so there are some flaws…
The model has a lot of flaws too that I could not really correct without damaging it more, and varying lighting during the photoscanning did not help… It’s made from 222 Nikon D5300 DSLR 24 MPx pictures, with low quality alignment, and medium quality depth map meshing, with a bit of smoothing.

This replica stands in the center of McKennan Park in Sioux Falls, SD.
It is a replacement for an older, folksy-looking wooden replica that was removed after vandalism in the 1960s. The wooden replica was in poor shape from exposure and seems to have been lost.
When the city decided to replace the replica, I supplied a copy of Frederic Auguste Bartholdi’s early study maquette to be used for modeling.
The replica was set atop the original pedestal previously occupied by the wooden replica.
I used my iPhone mounted on a painters pole with a bluetooth remote to snap photos of the upper parts of the replica. In total, I used 288 photos out of nearly 600 taken.
