This prop has been one of the most challenging pieces I’ve done, but really fun to learn from. The model is based heavily off of Baldi Konijn’s Dungeon Door concept art. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3a0yo
After creating the sculpt and low res, I tried to use the colors of the reference, and wasn’t happy with how it looked. I instead used photos of Blizzard’s recent showcase of Kul Tiras in World of Warcraft as a color theme.
