It blew me away that they took these relatively simple drawings, and brought to life these really realistic humanoid turtles. I remember losing my mind when I first saw them. When I started working on this by chance, there were these new turtle figures out that had captured quite a bit of the detail from the movie costumes so I used those as reference heavily. I built this model with high end game cinematics in mind, base model was around 83k before smoothed. He will eventually have a full working facial rig with mouth cavity....just getting lazy here towards the end on him..haha. The skin I ended up using one of the default new orc skin templates in painter and messed around with the layers in that with some of my own custom additions and I think it turned out fairly nice.
