Took my chances with haircards as well and i think it turned out ok, the only drawback being skinning them. It was tricky but i think i managed to nail down most of it.

Based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, comes Denji, the guy with a chainsaw on his head. Complete with an action pose as well with some zombies to slay.
This one was a tricky model to resolve, especially the head, since there is a lot of mechanical parts and the references just gave me blurry parts or many dark spots i had to make my own interpretation, it’s little bit more on the mechanical than a demonic fleshy one.
This one looks better with the cel shading.

A victorian era fruit plate from my victorian still life.
It was done in Blender, Substance Designer, Substance Painter and 3D Coat.
To create the engravings on the plate, I modeled and rendered the shapes in Blender as a height map and used them as a brush in sculpt mode with radial symmetry in Blender and as an alpha with radial symmetry in Substance Painter.
The translucency material for the grapes was a little tricky in realtime render engines and since I didn’t like the SSS result in Sketchfab, I used refractive opacity to fake the translucency 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 29182 polygons.

Fan-art from the game Final Fantasy 7!! This is the Cosmo Canyon, one of the cities that can be visited through the game. It was a comission where I was asked to made an stylized and simplified version of the place, and this is how it turned out!
I decided to push the limit of Sketchfab’s capabilities, and added a day-night cycle to the scene. It was a bit tricky, as lamps can’t be animated, at least for now. But I think this works quite nicely. I hope you like it! :D

Based on the Tripod from the 2000s War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise. The rigging was quite tricky as I had to hide a humanoid skeleton inside the body to get the arms to work properly. Quite pleased with the results. The legs have a custom animation as well to give proper locomotion.

I uploaded this model to test how SketchFab renders something like this. The tricky part was figuring out how to get the silver foil on the top lable to be reflective. Got it to work :-) The cream looks like glossy plastic, but it’s a real-time render and gets the point across. I didn’t correctly UV map the underside because my renders were always on a table - so it didn’t matter. Probably my favorite assignment from this semester. As soon as I saw the shark reffrence image I immedietly wanted to make him. Thanks to a little practive and video tutorial watching for how to build a figure in May, I started with making the torso based on a body refrence and worked my way off from there changing the size and shape and adding the arms, legs and head to make my shark real.
