SAM 26000 was the first of two Boeing VC-137C United States Air Force aircraft specifically configured and maintained for use by the president of the United States. It used the callsign Air Force One when the president was on board, otherwise SAM 26000 , with SAM indicating Special Air Mission.
A VC-137C with Air Force serial number 62-6000,[a] SAM 26000 was a customized Boeing 707. It entered service in 1962 during the administration of John F. Kennedy and was replaced in presidential service in 1972 but kept as a backup. The Bartini Beriev VVA-14 Vertikaľno-Vzletayushchaya Amfibiya (vertical take-off amphibious aircraft) was a wing-in-ground-effect aircraft developed in the Soviet Union during the early 1970s. Designed to be able to take off from the water and fly at high speed over long distances, it was to make true flights at high altitude, but also have the capability of flying efficiently just above the sea surface, using aerodynamic ground effect. The VVA-14 was designed by Italian-born designer Robert Bartini in answer to a perceived requirement to destroy United States Navy Polaris missile submarines. The final aircraft was retired in 1987.
M3 Version of the VVA-14 was to be equipped with twelve vertical lift engines. These engines were cancelled early in their development and the proposed VSTOL configuration never flew.

Trivia:
Once typical of Brisbane’s fleet is this Scania L94UB with Volgren CR224L bodywork. The standard Volgren body has been altered in appearance with a normal Scania front. The kite symbol reflects the bus’ green credentials being CNG powered. The G prefix denotes its allocation to the Garden City depot which feeds the busway. Sadly in 2020, the Scania L94UB fleet have been retired from service and replaced by the Volvo B8RLE buses.

Triva: The InterCity Express (QR ICE) was a class of electric multiple units built by Walkers, Maryborough, for Queensland Rail in 1987/89. Initially intended for the Spirit of Capricorn, a long-distance rail service, operated from 1988 to 2003 between Rockhampton and Brisbane. These trains were later repurposed for the Sunshine Coast line until mid-2021, when all units were retired being replaced by the New Generation Rollingstock.

The Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet is a supersonic twin-engine, carrier-capable, multirole fighter aircraft variant derived from the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet series. The F/A-18F tandem-seat variant is a larger and more advanced versions of the F/A-18C and D Hornet.
Designed and initially produced by McDonnell Douglas, the Super Hornet first flew in 1995. Full-rate production starting in September 1997, after the merger of McDonnell Douglas and Boeing the previous month. The Super Hornet entered fleet service with the United States Navy in 1999, replacing the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, which was retired in 2006. RAAF Super Hornets entered service in December 2010. In February 2023, Boeing announced plans to end production of the Super Hornet in 2025.
