A 3d scan made from photos taken in 2019 by Abi Glen and Jennifer Wexler whilst on the AHRC post doctoral creative economy engagement fellowships. Processed in November 2022 by Daniel Pett in Capturing Reality. This represents a Baroque dining table scene from the Feast and Fast exhibition held at the Fitzwilliam Museum in 2019-2020 curated by Vicky Avery and Melissa Calaresu. The table is the work of the great Ivan Day.

An armillary sphere is an astronomical instrument, a model of the celestial sphere. It was used to demonstrate celestial phenomena and determine the time and equatorial and ecliptic coordinates. The armillary sphere enabled simulation of astronomical phenomena, including the movement of planets in relation to the Sun. It was made by Franciszek Słupski as part of his doctoral thesis defended at the Philosophy Department of the University of Kraków.

This model was scanned and produced with a research process that captures surface texture and specularity more accurately - the research is led by Michael Tetzlaff, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, as part of a research effort that began when Michael was a doctoral student in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. The work is now supported by an NEH grant, and the grant team includes UW-Stout, Cultural Heritage Imaging, and Mia.
