This is one of my first car models I built for a free independant racing game that allowed user generated content (racer.nl). It had a wonderful community that i do miss quite a bit. This was created before normal maps, high poly counts, and Substance Painter, but at least we had Photoshop…
The Renault Alpine A110 is one of my favorite vintage automobiles of all time. I have only seen this car once in the flesh, and hope to again some day, it’s so beautiful to me. I have debated rebuilding this model as a high poly asset many times so I dug it out to see how it holds up in Sketchfab all these years later. See what you think and maybe download it for fun. Unfortunately I seem to have lost all the source PSD files for the textures and offer no tech support on the model (it is nearly 20 years old after all).

The Queen of the Night is a Mesopotamian terracotta plaque in high relief of the Isin-Larsa- or Old-Babylonian period, depicting a winged, , goddess-like figure with bird’s talons, flanked by owls, and perched upon two lions.
The relief is displayed in the British Museum in London, which has dated it between 1800 and 1750 BCE. It originates from southern Mesopotamia, but the exact find-site is unknown. Apart from its distinctive iconography, the piece is noted for its high relief and relatively large size, which suggest that it was used as a cult relief, making it a very rare survival from the period. However, whether it represents Lilitu, Inanna/Ishtar, or Ereshkigal is under debate. A plaque made of baked straw-tempered clay featuring a winged Babylonian goddess. It was found in southern Iraq and brought to the British Museum (BM) in 1933. It was named the “Burney Relief” after its owner, the London antique dealer Sidney Burney. Authenticity was in doubt for many years but thermoluminescence tests confirm the plaque was made between 1765 and 45 BC, thus slotted into the Old Babylonian period 1800–1750 BC. Plaque was then purchased by the BM in 2003.
There is a great debate about who is depicted as the plaque was renamed “the Queen of the Night”. For years argued to be baby-stealing demon Lilitu, but now Ishtar is now the accepted interpretation.
