The combined lighthouse and windmill provides the Lighthouse Keeper with an excellent view of the surrounding reef, unfortunately it lighthouse no longer works as intended, meaning there have been a few… mishaps over the years. Though we are assured that it certainly wasn’t the Keeper’s intention! The crows nest provides a convenient way to cut across to get those fresh seagull eggs in the morning, and the diving platform provides a nice way to keep entertained through those hot summer days.
There’s plenty to do and see - a fishing platform, covered to keep you protected from the midday sun, the odd wreck and legend has it there’s a treasure chest that’s been pulled on shore!

It was a little rusty and if it rained particularly hard the water would squeeze it’s way in and drip down onto the old Lino floor, but it wasn’t all that bad. Catrina liked the independence. She learnt to cook for herself and borrowed hundreds of books from the library to teach herself all the necessary things that s do. And she made friends too, with next doors cat and a few crows. A few weeks later the pumpkins started showing up, just a few at first but every time Catrina’s mother tried to cut them back more grew in their place. Catrina thought the pumpkins made the yard look warm and cosy, and she was glad they didn’t let her mother stop them from growing and thriving”

Small diorama scene made for a school assignment. The theme I chose was “Forest Loner”, and I thought it would be interesting to create a house that looked like it was made by hand from local materials.
I’ve always been curious about tileable textures, and decided to try my hand at creating a few to be used in the scene. I created a wood and metal trim texture which was used in the texturing of the shed, the house, the water tower and the electrical poles. I also made a texture sheet for the metal roofing and used it to also texture the small electrical conductors on the electrical poles.
Overall, it was a pretty fun project to work on and I definitely learnt a lot from it 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 110535 polygons.

At the university I got a team assignment focussing on dressing a block-out 2-4 player deathmatch level in UDK. The theme of the art is Game of Thrones: Castle Black (Night Watchs Castle at the wall). My first and main focus was the creation of all the modular exterior brick prefabs and materials.
